Disable windows environment

mglmansilla Posts: 38 Rating: (0)	Hi, i'm trying to disable the windows environment access in RT. I'm working with full screen and disable key for every combination in the configuration of the project. This is going well, but I have a button that executes Notepad for showing some text files, and when the notepad appears the windows environment is enabled. I don't know if this a problem in WinCC RT or it is a general setting in Windows ... Any idea or suggestion ??? Thanks, Miguel

Nemo Posts: 3149 Rating: (171)	with notepad you are opening an direct access for your operator to windows -level. You could have a try with using a (bigger) I/O field in WinCC

I want my servers to auto-logon at bootup and disable windows start menu, shourcuts, menu bars, etc. Have been able to do this except it always auto logs in as operator. Used to be able to hold the shift key to disable auto logon but now it doesn't work. The IgnoreShiftOverride key isn't in the registry any more and even when I added it, it doesn't work. This is the first time I'm trying to manipulate registry in Server2003 but am wondering if a WinCC V6.0 Install disables this IgnoreShiftOverride key. Can anyone definitively explain this? Miguel, TAKE CAUTION!!! Messing with these settings can ruin your day if you're not sure what you're doing. Before attempting you should take an image (and test restoring it) before trying any of this: Disabling Start Menu: [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{5b4dae26-b807-11d0-9815-00c04fd91972} put a - in front of the 5 Auto Logon: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] AutoAdminlogon = 1 DefaultUserName = username DefaultPassword = password ForceAutoLogon = 1 Brian
