Please I have an urgent problem in DP-DP coupler,

When I connect one network and disconnect the other side, I get no Bus fault on the connected network.

But when I connect both network sides I get bus fault and System fault on one side with continuous flashing.

So SF1 and BF2 are red lights

Kindly support or give me hotline number to call.

Split from DP/DP Coupler Problems.

As pointed in a previous post, you can find the Operating Instructions of the DP/DP coupler in a link provided. Look for it, study it, it will be a great start for your troubleshooting..

You will find a complete chapter on Diagnostics, with a section on LEDs diagnostics. The attached picture is an extract from that section. Note that is you are using Siemens Profibus masters you can use the Diagnostic Buffer in Step 7 to analyse the problem. Other manufacturers have different diagnostic systems for their Profibus configuration, use what they offer.

The extract shows that a BFx LED comes on when there is a mismatch between the Profibus address set by the DIP switches on each port of the DP/DP coupler and the address configured in ach master's configuration file. Recommended solution: check the address of the DP/DP coupler port showing a BF LED. That would be a good place to start.

Seen this before.  You need to ensure that both networks have the same size inputs and outputs just oppsite

Ex

Network #1                   Network #2

2 byte input                    2 byte output

2byte output                   2 byte input

If not this will happen.
