Discrete alarm in TIA portal V13

Aravinth Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi I have configured discrete alarm in TIA portal V13 for s7 1200 plc I have to trigger alarm when my digital inputs turns to 1 and acknowledge when it turns 0. the digital input is given to a add block the output if the add block is MW0. when i turn on the input the alarm shows in hmi and if when i turn off it still displays on the screen i cant acknowledge using the plc tag help me! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Split form Discrete Alarms.

If you copy the value 1 to the MW10, of course it becames this value, but if your trigger on "EN" goes from 1 to 0 the copying is just stopping. The value of MW10 keeps its value 1 as long as you copy/write another value to it. So, for the HMI, the alarm is still pending. To improve your PLC program, I would show the state of the alarm word at a field on HMI, just to get shure you are doing it right at PLC.One more thing: Try always using data blocks instead of memory words.
