Hi, who comes to this FAQ could also be interesting in general diagnose features of S7-1500. In this context I suggest take a look also in the tread "TIP: S7-1500 Diagnose" at https://www.automation.siemens.com/BR/tf/WW/en/Posts/89419 |

Hi, As the FAQ doesn't give a direct explanation on how to use RDREC for substituting some of the RDSYSST functions, uou might have a look at this thread: It explains how to read out things like Serial Number, S7 Article Number, MAC Address, Profinet Name, etc. And most important - how to find which hardware ID number to feed the RDREC function with. And a general note about those FAQ discussions: Would it be possible to add or change the subjects of these threads to a more describing name? It is difficult to get an overview with all those FAQ numbers in the forum list. Maybe the FAQ-discussions should be moved to a sub-groub so the product family groups won't be flooded. Discussion on the <-- This part is redundant - everything in this forum is more or less a discussion! FAQ68397488 <-- The number doesn't say me anything... It might work for searches, but that's about it. I understand that the original title of the FAQ might be too long. An optimal subject could be: FAQ: How to migrate theS7-300/400instruction "RDSYSST" (SFC51) to S7-1500 or: FAQ68397488: RDSYSST (SFC51) in S7-1500 using TIA
