Displaying timer value greater than 999 sec in the HMI

I have a problem, I would like to display the remaining S_ODT timer value in the HMI. I can do it easily when it is between 0 and 999 sec. But when the remaining timer value exceeds 999 sec, I cannot do it correctly. The current remaining valueBI and BCDis ten times smaller that the real one.

In the attachment a piece of my software (test software). The current value is 24min20s (=1460s) , and BI value is only 146. BCD value converted to INT is also 146. I can thus display the value (scaling process tag PLC/HMI = 10/100) , but then I will have my four digit value decreasing every 10 seconds, not every second, what I want.

Is there a way to display any remaining time value between, let's say, 0 and 3600 sec, decreasing every second?

If there is not, how can I at least correctly display the value between 1000and 3600 ( about 0,5 hours)?

I would appreciate, if somaone has a clue , to help me on this.

Oh.. by the way, the CPU is S7-313C and the HMI is KTP600 Color DP , software is TIA Portal V12 SP1.

If it were me, I would probably convert the time value to an DINT or INT for display on the HMI. Once it is an INT, you can go to a pretty large number of seconds.

This is what I just do, with the CONV functionI convert the timer value into INT. But it does not matter whether the INT can be so large, since my value does not comply with the real remaining value in seconds, which is 1460 seconds and not 146 seconds. Actually my integer value is 146 and the unit is 10s, for the values below 999 s the unit is 1 s. That is the point.

I will try now to use IEC timer as suggested by William B.and check what the result is.

Ha - the first obstacle: see the screenshot in the attachment: the IEC timer for the S7-300 CPU (CPU313C) cannot be used!

Is there antoher way to use the IEC timer here?

In Step-7 V5.5 I could just call SFB4 (ondelay) / SFB5 (offdelay) timer from the StandardLibrary --> System Function Blocks. But in TIA Portal there is no Standard Library, the only IEC timers are those, wchich I used in the example,I think.... or maybe I am wrong?
