Distributed safety: F TON variable time

alexanderd Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hello, I'm writing a safety programma in Step 7 V5.5 and I use a F_TON timer. I want the time (PT) for this F_TON timer to be variable and the client has to be able to change this time on the panel (WinCC flexible). So I made a standard DB with the variable "F_TIME_VALVE" (datatype TIME) which I visualize on the panel. Now I can't figure out how to link this standard variable to the safety variable PT in the safety program. If somebody knows a way how to achieve this, I'll be very thankfull. Thanks in advance! In STEP7 Safety V11 you CAN use standard-variables for the TIME-inputs. ~~But be careful - I don't see any way to perform a safety-check for the vality of the standard-time.~~ Ups, V11now even has a compare-function for TIME, so that you even can perform the check.
