DNP3 Communication SCADA-Material selection| Waste water pump

I have a project proposal for waste water pump operation.

Specification says PLC and RTU needed and support DNP3 communication.

Remote SCADA needed via eWON.

Help me to select component.

Can I use SIMATIC DP, CPU 1510SP-1 PN for ET 200SP for this application.

Its means ET200SP, 2Nos AI, 1DI, 1DO can I buy it? Does it can achieve complete function of PLC and RTU?

Does it support DNP3 communication?

How to program DNP3?

Does it have self diagnostic function?

Does support Programming via Control center?

You are re-inventing the wheel.  Your competitors will use an RTU, designed for remote control tasks with an already implemented DNP3 protocol.  So should you.

 I am using compact rtu with S7 1200.

I get a pump start signal to this rtu from remote via Won with dnp3 communication.

Yes. That configuration act as a RTU and enough.

Yes, Diagnostics available in PLC. Remote programming possible via eWON.

DNP3 is similar to modbus and program done on remote PLC.

Siemens PLC got a solution to add a communication processor for DNP3 communication.

I think that specific CP/CM modules are needed for this protocol so I recommend generally start check TIA system manual (your version) for DNP3 keyword. You can step to more topics related to this protocol and also get some good informations for your prj as start.

 Next pls, I don't know if answer from JKV is helpful because his mentioned HW is for S7-1200 system and HW used in prj is S7-1500 so as I said in my first post, you need look to CM/CP modules with DNP3 capability inside S7-1500 HW.
