Do cards from other suppliers work with Simatic.Net?

Never knew such cards are available from other suppliers). Do such cards work with Simatic.Net etc. Krish Splitted from Ethernet CP Card.

aikona Posts: 487 Rating: (36)	Hi We have a few of these cards communicating from PC to PLC's .The box says compatible with Siemens etc but to use them on PCS7 with Simatic Net , you will only be able to use 'softnet' ,just as you would use any ethernet card in a PC.The advantage above your normal PC card is that it is made for comms to PLC's Woodhead has taken over applicom and I cannot find the electronic part of woodhead on internet( yet).
