Do Trend with WinccFlexible via OPC

Zatika Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hello, I have a program thatsave some data in a array and is programed inST with Beckhoff. Use the beckhoff opc server and i can see the tags on WinnCC flexible. Now i want to do a trend with the data of the array. I like to know if its possible. Thank's

Jesper Pedersen Posts: 279 Rating: (30)	Hi Zakita. Even with an S7 connection, I think it is not possible to select an array tag as the source for a cyclically updated trend (). You have to use regular non-array tags. A bit triggered buffered trend is another matter. Here it must be an Array tag. : The WinCC Flex I am working on at the moment is 2005 SP1 HF7. Maybe it is possible to use an array tag with 2008 HF3. I can check that later.

All the program goes good but not the visualization of the trend.Now, i think the problem is in the visualization of the array, may be is not posible to use a array of word via OPC. In wincc flexible does not appear any alarm. Thanks,

Jesper Pedersen Posts: 279 Rating: (30)	Hola zatika. OK, it is a buffered trend, and not a cyclical trend as I thought. Are you setting the "Trend transfer" bits in the PLC ? If you are in doubt which bits to set within the word, then simply set the word to "-1". That sets all bits at once. If the PLC is not to control the Trend transfer tag, then you can simply set the WinCC Flexible screen event "Loaded" to activate the function SetValue, and then set the Trend Transfer tag to -1. In that way the Trend view updates the trend the moment the screen is loaded.

Was it a Siemens Panel or just a WinCC Flexible Runtime running in a PC? If it was a Siemens Panel, what panel and how did you do the connection? Thanks a lot
