stskr Posts: 16 Rating: (0)	Help us, please, to solve such problem. Don't switch clients between two servers with redundancy. Configuration of servers: Windows 2000 Server SP4 WinCC 6.0 SP2 Simatic Net 6.0 SP5 + HF2 Network adapters -3com 3C905 Configuration of clients: 1) Windows XP SP2 WinCC 6.0 SP2 2) Windows 2000 Prof SP4 WinCC 6.0 SP 2 All computers can be seen in the network, all use the same workgroup and the same login: Administrator. PLC connected to WinCC using CP343-1 and OPC server in Simatic NET. 1. At the server 1 we create multi-user project, add all the clients to the computers list, at the redundancy tab we point the server 2 as the redundant server. 2. Run Project duplicator and copy the project to the server 2. 3. At the clients we create new client projects 4. We create server data at the server 1 and then load them to the clients. Two servers work. Then we stops runtime at the server 1 (or disconnect it from the network). The server 2 continue work and become master (tags @RM_MASTER and @RM_MASTER_NAME change accordingly), but the clients switching doesn't occur and the clients become inactive. After we run the server 1 the clients become active again. According the online help clients switching must occur in this case.

Are you able to "reach" /ping server 2 from your client project? 3. I follow normally this order in steps, Please try: - At the server 1 we create multi-user project, (add all the clients to the computers list) <= I never do this, at the redundancy tab we point the server 2 as the redundant server. - Create server package -Run Project duplicator and copy the project to the server 2. - At the clients we create new client projects - Load server package on client(s) Tell us how it went with regards, Ikkezelf

khicontiti Posts: 32 Rating: (0)	Dear all, Before creating the data packages of servers, you need to creat redundancy. And you can check in the package properties as following picture. You should check connection between the computers by "ping'" command. Hope you solve you problem. PS: also check "configuration" in Data Server (in WinCC Explorer). SmallMonkey. You should either upgrade WinCC or downgrade XP to ensure you have a supported configuration.
