Dowload old program to new CPU, SF fault

Hello;

The CPU'S diagnostic buffer holds information on the events that led to the activation of the SF LED.

So please open the diagnostic buffer and study the messages you will find there.

You can also save the contents of the buffer (Save As Text button) and upload them to the forum if you need help in understanding the problems that affect your new CPU.

I am uploading the prog. from cpu 6es7315-2af02-0abo.

& down loading to a new cpu 6es7 315-2ah14-0abo.

during downloading cpu differ message come.& if down load the orig. sf fault come.

if I create the hard ware with new cpu with profibus & down load that

but in this sf also came & when uplad this different configuration uploaded.

 Just to add some extra points , to what has been already shared by Daniel, to assist you for a fast troubleshooting procedure.When  you upload the program from the old CPU,simply try to jot down all internal parameters of CPU , parameters of central I/O and decentral modules.I suggest downloading to the new CPU:

1. The CPU plus properties of CPU (plus PS) and download hardware without user program
   
   
2. Add central IOs with same setting and download
   
   
3. Add decentral IOs ,slave-by-slave and download in each step for ease of fault finding.

When there is no error in hardware , try to download user program for each organization block.For that you need to check the program structure of reference data.For each step using diagnostic buffer of CPU is a great tool for fault finding.
