Download blank program cause error

I have to wonder if the PLC is the correct model if it works on the 1215.  Maybe you have the 1215 in the project copied to the MMC?

Try simply downloading the project to the PLC.  If it refuses, you have the wrong PLC in the project.

Hello

I am using CPU 1214 C DC/DC/DC (6ES7 214-AG40 0XB0) I activated protection in this CPU and now I try to download blank program through MMC but CPU not goes in Run mode after procedure complete. LED status as below stop: Dark Yellow Error: RED blink.

I repeat same procedure for 1215 its working perfect. So I cant understand why its happen in 1214 please help me.

Hi  Mayur,

The above piece bothers me. Is the memory card "empty" or is there something loaded onto it? It sounds as if a small CPU1215 program is loaded in it.. as huggy_d1 suggests.

Use "online access" on the project tree to connect to the PLC and see if you can read the online state of the PLC. The diagnostic buffer should tell us more.. as Christoph suggested.

I am not sure how to make sure that the memory card is empty. What I do know is that you should not format the card.. the file structure should be left intact. I think it is just simply deleting the information on it.

Make sure in the System Manual or ask here again for someone to help.
