download function for redundant modbus TCP/IP

arian59 Regular Member Joined: 9/3/2011 Last visit: 4/22/2024 Posts: 24 Rating: (0)	hi guys. in my project, there are 2 CPU S7-400, 2 CP 443 for redundant connection to HMI and 2 CP 443 for Redundant Modbus TCP/IP. my problem is about modbus. I have just function "MODB4" , "MODBUS"(recently I found in Internet) and I don't have function "MODB4H" and also license(permanently) how can make this function via basic function.is there any manual for it?really how can make redundancy modbus TCP/IP.

I used the related link and download related functions ( FB 909 or MB_REDCL, FB 908) but I confused about difference between 2 group inputs. I cant understand difference between datatype_1,db_1,start_1 ,2,3,4 and Data_type,Start Address,length really what doesData_type,Start Address,lengthdo? thank you

There you have to define at least data_type1, db_1 and start_1. In these data areas you have to define the general address range that you want to use in your Modbus communication. The parameters in capital letters DATA_TYPE, START_ADDRESS and LENGTH are runtime parameters. If the Modbus block is the client, you have to use these parameters to define the address range you want to address in your next telegram. If the Modbus block is the server, these parameters show the values of the last telegram the Modbus block received for one CPU cycle. Regards Sakura

I understand your response but I am alittle confused. really I have 3 databases related to 3 types of modbus data types which I should send it. DB1 :input type DB2:coil type DB3:holding register type I have assigned these 3 database to initialisation parameters in OB1. but I dont khnow how and what I should assign to DATA_TYPE, START_ADDRESS and LENGTH in runtime is it true that in 1 cycle of calling function FB909 I shoud assign information of DB1 to DATA_TYPE, START_ADDRESS and LENGTH in runtime. and in 2 cycle information of DB2 , in 3 cycle information of DB3 and again repeat from the first. really is it true that I shoud write code befor calling FB909 to select related database. thank you
