Hi Dec The subject of making changes offsite and loading them onto production servers has been discussed several times on this forum. You might want to take a look at some of the other posts. The Wincc V6.0 DataBasecontains a lot of info and suggestions. I believe that the procedure involved is that when you enable Online Changes, all changes you make to pictures, tags, alarms, archives, etc. are audited and recorded. When you then do a Download it applies the recorded changes on the target machine. Sorry but I don't know anymore about this way. If you didn't want to use the Download option you would find that pictures and scripts are simply files so you can easily copy them to the target machine, recompile scripts and hey presto, the changes are seen. Changes to the configuration database are a lot trickier. These are changes to tags, alarms and archives. You cannot simply overwrite the configuration database. In this case Download Changes is a life saver. |
