I HAVE TRIED TO DOWNLOAD THE PROGRAM ONTO THE PLC(cpu 314c-2dp) BUT I HAVE FACED WITH AN ERROR THAT SAYS "ONLINE:COMMUNICATION LINK TO THE ADAPTOR DAMAGED" (i am connecting via a pg through a mpi adaptor)
WHY HAVE I ENCOUNTERED WITH THIS PROBLEM?
DO I NEED A LICENSE FOR DOWNLOADING THE PROGRAM?

 I'm also facing with this problem "Communication link to the adapter damaged".

I have reinstalled the simatic manager but still no solution.

In the PG/PC interface "PG/PC is the only master on the bus" is selected.

MPI adapter details:6ES7972-OCB20-0XA0.

Communication with the TCP/IP is ok.

Please suggest what I can do to resolve the communication issue with the MPI adapter.

Did you in properties of PC-adapter (setting PG/PC interface) select 'PG is only master on the bus'?

Hello,

for first, is this original Siemens adapter or China brand? Also you didn't specify what PLC CPU you want connect to, via which interface, this is important. In other case look first to PC Device Manager if your PC adapter is clearly vissible and without any error marks. Then set proper cfg in PG/PC interface - access point S7ONLINE and due your interface select right connection type - MPI/Profibus/... It is expected that PG/PC occupy address 0, this address is reserved for it. Communication speed must be same as network has been set. This is what I can recommend now.
