Downloading (transfering) wincc v11 professional projec

bosandzeros Bronze Member Joined: 7/1/2013 Last visit: 12/16/2024 Posts: 85 Rating: (4)	I have lap top with tia portal V11 SP2 UPD 5 and wincc V11 SP2. And desktop PC with same software (this pc will be used only as runtime pc in future). How I can transfer software from mentioned lap top to mentioned PC, without transfering entire project, cmpiling it again on PC and running it? Yes, I have tried to use Project->desired device ->download (as suggested in Help). Problems: it says can't connect to desired ip address, when try to download as file it says check that there is installed wincc runtime. I am beginner, so what are neccessary settings in order to be able to do transfer of project from laptop to pc ? Best regards.

K!ke Posts: 1299 Rating: (136)	oh sorry, I just saw it's a pretty new faq so maybe there is no english version at the moment. First of all check your installed software. you can do this in tia portal in menü help > installed software > detailed information". if you'd only like to use the runtime on the PC and not engineering, it will be enough to install runtime professional. if downloading fails here are some points you can check: - you have to log in withthe same windows user on both pcs, the one with the project and the runtime pc. the usermust have same name and password on both pcs. - also the user has to be member of group "simatic hmi" and minimum power user. - network should be home or private K!ke

When I try to download software it says that there is not runtime on device (same as before). When I try to download hardware configuration (I am not sure is this neccessary, but I have tried) it finds PC on network, but when I click load it says: Connection failed. The selected online target could not be reached. (In title bar it says: 0132:000002). One more thing when I search for PC in extended download window I can find it only when selected show all accessible devices.

K!ke Posts: 1299 Rating: (136)	Hello, if you show the network with windows explorer, not wincc, do you see the target pc? can you browse (also with windows explorer) to the target folder? Can you ping the other pc with ip adress and with name? did you check the installed software on both pcs? K!ke

I haven't try ping. As I say even download manager finds it when options show all devices is selected. When I transfer project on that PC, and run it there it works (again I have tia on Pc also). That should suggest that sofware is ok .
