DP/DP Caused signal delays

Hi All,

I'm using DP/DP Couplers between 416F CPUs. Most of the signals that I exchange are discrete standard or safety interface.

I have an issue in the delay caused by the use of the couplers. [Exchanging the standard signals]

The delays are in terms of milli-seconds but the effect is annoying.

Any suggestions to mitigate this?

Hi,

I expected some delay but not enough to effect my functionality! I'm planning to measure it accurately but for now I'm almost sure that I get delays sometimes up to 100 ms.

Also, I didn't expect the big difference in the cycle times of both PLCs .. 

My question: Is there any quick way to mitigate that? I believe after your answer, there isn't 

I have to figure out an alternative sol.
