DP/DP coupler Module Not Available.

CPU : 414-5H

Two nos. DP/DP couplers(158-0AD01-0XA0 V3.0.1) connected to both CPU's DP port.

Both DP/DP coupler has following DIP switch settings:

PS=ON

DIA=OFF

ADDR=OFF

32 = ON (Address in HW config set as 32).

Rest DIP switch of addresses are "OFF"

GSD file considered in HW Config is DP/DP coupler Release 3 (As version is 3.0.1, I have selected this GSD file).

When I am downloading the HW config to PLC, it is showing module not available.

LED status in both DP/DP coupler:

SF1 = ON

SF2= ON

BF1 = Flashing

BF2 = Flashing

ON1 = ON

ON2= ON

Both 414-5H CPUs has BUS2F LED is flashing.

I have changed connection from CPU's integrated DP port to MPI/DP port configuring it as a "Profibus" in HW config.

But the results on DP/DP coupler's LED is same.

In such case, Both 414-5H CPUs has BUS1F LED is flashing.

==========================================================

What can be reason? What configuration is going wrong?

give each coupler on own address in each project.

 I have two DP/DP coupler with same profibus address on different "DP master System".

But after your answer i have disconnected one no. DP/DP coupler from CPU 414-5H, Rack-1, DP port.

Right now only one no. DP/DP coupler connected at CPU 414-5H, Rack-0, DP port.

Still this connected DP/DP coupler is giving same statuses.

I am doubting that if any firmware upgrade required or what can be other possible reason?

Hope you checked profibus cables , connectors and cabling. You are connecting coupler directly to DP port of the CPU or there are remote stations in between. First and last nodes of the buses must be terminated. Is there redundancy fault on the CPU?

the LED-blinking of BF1 and BF2 means there is no data-exchange. This can be read in the manual:

DP/DP Coupler

Is the other side also projected in the rigth way?

from the video I saw it should have PB-address 16

but i am using CPU 315F-2 PN/DP as master on one side of DP-DP and DCS on other side of DP-DP.

I would like to thank you for showing interest in this problem.

This is my situation,

I have set same address in HW config and DIP as 3. ADDR=OFF, DIA=OFF, PS=ON and all rest are OFF. 

DP-DP coupler installed is V3.0.1 and so i downloaded GSD for DP_DP Release 3 from this Link01

Pls correct me if i have to use DP-DP release 2 in HW Config.

Find the attached pic of my hw config as well as my diagnostic buffer in a single pic and help me solve this out.

Edit1: Problem was solved. Actucally while setting the dip s/w in coupler i suggest to be very careful that ON position of s/w is on right side. After dip sw ON position is set on right side, my problem was solved. Hope this might be useful to many. Thanks.
