ralphtang Posts: 33 Rating: (1)	I have a system which has two cpu 315-DP2 and ET200-IM157. that two CPU is working indipendtly. now I need to build acommunication between the two CPU , and exchange some data. I would like to use DP Master/Slave method to build the communication, and let 315-DP2 as Master. my question is can I exchange data which in DB area. eg. 315 DB1 -> ET200-IM157 DB10, 315 DB2 <- ET200-IM157 DB11. if it is possiable, how I configure the addrss ID in DP-Slave Configuration Row?

Hello Ralphtang

Here are two FAQs about this thema (one CPU is Master and the other is Slave). It can be used with two CPU 315-2 DP but the DP Port cannot be Master and Slave ate the same time.

So if you have slaves in the port you need another Profibus interface (CP).

Master-slave connection between two CPUs in different projects

Remember that you could use also a DP/DP Coupler or Global Data Communication through MPI or even Ethernet Send Receive.
