DP port problem

Habib Nader Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	Dear all, I have a problem in the profibus network connected to CPU314C-2DP and other devices. I suppose that the problem due to the profibus port (DP port) of my CPU. How can I check the DP port of my CPU? best regards,

hdhosseini Diamond Expert Joined: 1/28/2009 Last visit: 8/8/2023 Posts: 6818 Rating: (1349)	Hello, If you are sure that there is a problem in your DP Port, I think you need to send the CPU to the nearest repair-shop of SIEMENS Industry and ask them for help.Find contact data here . To be sure, test again your CPU with new PROFIBUS connector and an intact slave.Check the test for different baud-rates.If it doesn't work this manner, do as mentioned before.Otherwise there is problem in your PROFIBUS set-up. hdhosseini Diamond Expert Joined: 1/28/2009 Last visit: 8/8/2023 Posts: 6818 Rating: (1349)	You can try by checking PC Adapter-->Auto and check simple online test.I am not sure that all PC-Adaptors can support PROFIBUS and different baud-rates for a full function test(as mentioned before).

Habib Nader Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	Dear all, I am using PC adaptor USB A2. when I connect the adaptor to MPI port of the CPU and make the PC/PG interface MPI USB A2, using accessible nodes it reads the MPI address of the CPU. but when I connect the adaptor to DP port of the CPU and make PC/PG interface PROFIBUS USB A2, using accessible nodes it reads that no online partners. Is this indication that there is a problem in the DP port ? best regards,

You need to do hardware configuration by enabling the DP port and need to download for first time using MPI port. Afterwards you can use DP port directly. or plc-edit profibus node may work, but I didn't try this.
