I'm trying to use the function drag and drop to put variables from PLC into I/O fields of a basic panel but it doesn't work in TIA V14.

It works normaly in Tia V13

When I do the same using HMI variables it works fine, the problem is from variables of PLC.

Might be that the datatype is not usable on the panel.

What datatype the DB element has?

What panel FW version do you use?

Drag and drop into IO fields works fine for me in V14, it will even change the datatype accordingly. However what I've found no longer works since V14 is drag and drop of PLC variables into the Animations tab of an HMI element. But when using HMI tags, drag and drop into the animations tab still works.

Any chance this is what you are experiencing?

I Have the extact problem of Fridman

if I drag&drop a variable from DB into HMI page it works perfectly, instead if I put it into a property field doesn't work...

I've used this function thousands of times in V13 SP1 and save a lot of time of development

Is there a flag or a setting somewhere to re-enable  this functions?

in my projekt drag & drop works fine. You can make a service request through Siemens.
