ganesh Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	We are working on Sinamics power module 6SL3310-1TE32-1AA0 ( 110KW, 210A). Is it possible to bypass the drive after start up ( about 1 min) by using any contactor. Transfer should be smooth/ bumpless.Is there any other method ?

Ayman Elotaify Platinum Member Joined: 5/28/2008 Last visit: 10/7/2024 Posts: 4515 Rating: (839)	Hello ganesh, As I understand from you, you want to start the motor using the SINAMICS drive and then and after 1 minute, you want to by bass teh drive using external contactor. So, why do you use the drive? If the answer is to start the motor softly. Then the best choice is using soft starter. Siemens offers softstarter of series 3RW44 which will cover the power range you have. Another important thing. If you have put the refence speed of the drive = 30 Hz. And then you want to bybass! And If the refence signal is always as the mains frequency, then the softstarter would be the best choice as it is designed for this purpose. Regards,
