Hallo chitturi if you would have an S7 400 H system, you would use a Y-Link to connect the Drive via Profibus. Usage of aY-Link is however NOT supported forSoftware redundancy, so your only option is to ditch the Profibus connection for the drive and use good old fashioned harwired control for it (i.e. use Analogue and Digital I/O's of the ET200M to interface with the drive). Possibly not the answer you wanted to hear, but I hope it helps anyway. |

Hello Giedrius I really wish there'd be an offical FAQ and/or entry in the Software Redundancy manual that clearly states that neither Y-Link norDP/PA link are supported, but am still waiting for it .... (H-H- our good friend and expert in this matter -is waiting for it too, see HERE for more). In fact, I wasunder the impression too that Y-Link and/or DP/PA link should/must work with an SWR system (see THIS thread) until I becameconvinced otherwise. I hope this helps |
