Hello!

I've just made a new clean windows 7 64 bit install on my computer and I have installed Step 7.

But now I cant communicate with my S7-300 via ethernet. Do I have to install some driver?

I have chosen the right option in "Set PG/PC interface" and im in the right IP range.

I just get the message that says "Module CPU 317-2 PN/DP is not obtainable via the address set. Specify the node adress for connecting the PG to the module/station."

I get response when i ping the CPU via CMD.

do you find the PLC if you start accessible Nodes or edit ethernet nodes?

Hi,

I'd say that no further drivers are required. In the pg/pc interface you need to select your Ethernet chip, one that is integrated into your PC/Laptop. As you already said, you have to set IP's of your PLC and PC where only the last set of numbers have to deffer (X.X.X.1 and X.X.X.10 for example). If you have already change IP address of PLC, sometimes it is useful to perform memory reset. Then go to the Accessible Devices and your PC should automatically recognize your PLC, as you may see in photo.

When i browse in "edit ehternet nodes" i find the PLC.

But I cant start an online connection. Wierd...

Ok good to know that there's now further drivers needed. I've made a memory reset of the plc and tried to connect again but i have the same problem. I'm starting to wonder if there is a problem with my ethernet card on my computer, but then again, I can see the PLC when browsing ethernet nodes.

If you download in HWConfig do this Work?
Have you assigned a PG/PC in the project which is connected to PROFIBUS/MPI INterface of the PLC? (look for this in NetPro).

No I cant download HWconfig either. I have a HW configuration with a few in and output cards and a CP343 card. I also have a profibus connection with an IM151 node. Both the IM and CP cards are connected in netpro. Attatching a screenshot to this message. I also have a Mitsubishi electric E1032 panel communicating via ethernet with the plc and that connection works fine.

This problem occured after I reinstalled windows. Before everything worked and the project havent been changed since. Probably something wrong with my laptops ethernet card.

I will try to use another laptop later to confirm its my own computer that is the problem.
