If I get you right, you make your tag table only one time and copy it into a new tag tableand replace e1 with e2 e.g.?
so tia portal automatically adds (1) at the end of the tag, doesn't it?

delete the contentof HMIfolder in your project folder and try to compile it again

i was doing a project in TIA V15.1. I got the same problem of showing error as duplicate tag. but there is no duplicate tag.in cross references also it was showing at only 1 location.

Tried the way you suggested in the above. but the error didn't gone.

please help me if there's any other wqay.

I also had the same issue with Wincc V15.1, apparently I was only compiling the last changes, which is why it kept showing me the same errors over and over again (duplicated tags). The way I could get it fixed was right clicking on the HMI in Devices > Compile > Software (rebuild all).

It's too late for my answer. But for the guys that have the same issue. I wanted to create an single insatance DB but it said this name is already exist, then I was looking everywhere to find it but no success. In the end I have looked in PLC tags then I saw, I have a boolean tag with this name. When I delete that tag I was able to create my DB. I hope this can help you.
