Dynamic dialog expressions

vidarv Posts: 66 Rating: (1)	Hi! Can different tags be combined in the dynamic dialog expression field? Examples: Change the background colour for a rectangle when "Boolean tag 1" AND "Boolean tag 1" is active (logical 1) Change the background colour for a rectangle when "Boolean tag 1" is active (logical 0) AND "Boolean tag 1" is not active (logical 0) Thanks V

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Yes, you can use different tags in the Dynamic Dialog expression! For instance: 'Pump1_On'+2*('Pump1_Alarm1'+'Pump1_Alarm2') In this case your result would be analog, and you'd just have to set the proper colour for each range!

Now I know simple math functions +, *, / can be used.Maybe logical functions also can be used (AND, OR, NOR ....)? Does a list or maybe definitions of what can be used in the expression field exist?

Web searches or a C book will give you definitive lists. To get you started: \|\|-OR &&-AND !-NOT e.g. 'tag1' \|\| 'tag2' will return 1 if any of the tags are 1, returns 0 if both tags are 0
