Dynamic text should retain value and not update it

AutoGen_6210416 Regular Member Joined: 12/16/2016 Last visit: 1/6/2025 Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	I'm adding a sequence number to my alarm which works but when the alarm is acknowledged the dynamic text appears to be updated with the current value and I want it to remain the value it was on activation as the sequence number may have moved on. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from Sample Program: Dynamic values in the HMI alarm messages text..

But maybe by programming you can pass that value to another variable and put that variable in the alarm text.

Murof Platinum Expert Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 4/17/2025 Posts: 15311 Rating: (1892)	Hello every time an event of this alarm is triggered (incoming, outgoing, ackanowledged) the value of the linked tag will be read new. this is a system behaviour you cannot change or set. Only way is to work with workarounds as already suggested (buffer the value in a help tag and only read a new tag in there if there is a new rising edge of the trigger Tag) Bye Murof
