E/R Module 600Vdc Decay

Hi, more out of interest than any other reason:

What, internally, causes the 600Vdc to decay when isolated?

Is it simply a resistor that's permanently across P & M ?

Or is it something more sophisticated and reliably safe?

Or just internal 'leakage' through semiconductors and capacitors?

I can't see anything specific on the 'internal' diagrams I've seen.

I always test anyway, just wondered!

I do not have a problem.

I was just wondering how the decay occurs when mains input power is removed.

Is there special circuitry to ensure the voltage decays fairly quickly, for safe access?

Or does the decay occur naturally due to leakage/losses of the standard components?

 We are not Siemens D&R department, just follow Siemens instruction, waiting 4 min's after power off, then start to safety work.

If you need faster discharge , apply a resistor to P600 and M600
