Editing a Logo 230RC

Hi, 

I've recently come across several of these controllers that have been used for the past 15 years to control 6 air conditioning units in a room. There are no longer 4 air conditioning units in the room but 2, however all of the existing parameters are still programmed into the controller which is causing issues with the remaining air conditioning systems.

I'm looking for help in editing the program and would like to do it from the controller itself if possible. 

The current setup is below...…………………………………………………...

1 input/output to one air conditioning unit. 

If the individual air conditioning unit has a fault then the individual input will break and the individual output will not make the 1 air conditioning unit that is connected, run.

If there is a fault, then the controller will look to bring on another unit (or another 2)

Every 7 days the units will rotate. 

Is anyone able to give me some help on which parameters I should be looking at that can help me alter to take into account the removal of two of these AC units. I'm not looking at rewriting the software, just slightly modifying it if possible.

If you don't have software and a programming cable, then it is difficult to help with such little information. You can download the demo software for free. Without programming cable you then must type in the program manually as you see on the display step by step. Don't forget to select the right Logo type, e.g. 0BA2, 0BA3 …

You also can make a some photos of the Logo display showing a part of the program with parameters and also one photo of the Logo type.

Maybe then someone is able to help.

I don't have a programming cable unfortunately but I am back on site today where i should be able to interrogate the controller and hopefully get some more information for you.

For me it is not very useful to look on the videos and maybe this is also the same for a collection of photos. There is a complete diagram in the Logo controller with several  lines and columns like a graphical excel sheet and  we only can see separate cells. You have also the problem, that you may change the program without knowledge by typing the wrong keys.

First download the operation instructions for your Logo and look to the chapter, how to program the Logo manually. Then you also know, how to read the complete diagram. This may take a long time for you, but this is the only way, when you don't want to buy software and a programming cable.

While you read out the diagram step by step you can create a Logo file with the demo software. This is the first step. Then you also must read all parameters of adjustable functions like timer and so on. This is done in  the menu SetParam.

I have never used the display method to create a program, this is error-prone and pedestrian.

Is it possible to see the complete programming using the controller only, no cable or software? 

If so so how do I find this information?
