I've only been working in TIA for quite a short time and generally don't know my way around yet. But I'm just not getting anywhere at this point.

First to the general information: I use TIA V18 Update 1 with WinCC Professional. The application should run on a PC with Windows 10.

In the application there is a navigation bar where different screens can be selected and deselected. Due to different limitations of WinCC Professional, I was unfortunately forced to create this navigation bar for each screen individually.
So that I can simply copy the navigation bar when I want to change it, I try to design the display of the navigation buttons using a unified C-script. This works fine with the property "Pressed", but now I also want to adjust the property "BackFillStyle" of the buttons, so that they are "solid" in the active state and "transparent" in the inactive state. Using Animations - Animate property with a variable works well, but this results in a very high response time, which could be avoided by using a c or VB script. If I try to assign True or False to the "BackFillStyle" in C, the button is simply always "solid". If I assign numerical values, I only get a white, but not transparent background for values smaller than -1. All positive values result in a "solid" background again.

All this would not be a big problem if I could query the state of the button with the property "Pressed" in a VB function I call in animate property, but then I get the error in the following image.

Do any of you possibly know a solution to either of my problems?
