Emailing with WinCC V16

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to find a way to send email when an alarm is activated. The project has WinCC V16 rt Prof and i can't find any option inside the runtime settings. Is there any way to achieve this?

By default, WinCC Professional does not provide an option to send emails or SMS. However, you can find an example of sending emails using VBS in the following Toolbox for WinCC projects:

- Toolbox for WinCC projects (Chapter 3.3 - Documentation WinCC RT Professional (3.9 MB)).

Alternatively, you can use the Premium Add-On ACC to send emails and SMS:

I tried the vbs script of the example but it didn't work after many tries.

Do I need to enable any smtp features in windows?

Or maybe is it necessary to have windows server installed to the pc?
