Is there a way to turn off and on different remote I/O racks from WinCC?  I would like to keep one software revision of the project that uses different remote I/O racks depending on environment of PLCs.  If I insert both racks into the network and one rack isn't present then the CPU will have a system fault.  Is there a way to "ignore" this expected system fault?

Hello,
You cannot do that directly from WinCC.
But you can that indirectly by triggering requests to D_ACT_DP (previous SFC12)  in in your program.
D_ACT_DP is a function for activating/reactivating remote I/O (DP slaves or Profinet I/O devices).

By using D_ACT_DP, no System Failure LED on the CPU for properly deactivated slaves/devices.
