Encoder in Sinamics G120 ( CU250S-2 DP )

Hello, dear Sinamics expert

is it necessary to add a  SMC30 Sensor Module to the CU250 2 DP to be able to using HTL 1024  encoder run with 10 to 30 Volts or I could connect directly  to CU250 2 DP using terminals because when I connected it directly the error Ecart position (in french) appears..??

Hello,

in technical data for CU250S-2 there are output voltages for encoder interfaces. Terminal 33 is 24V power source for HTL encoders with max.current 200mA, Sub-D connector has 24V power source on pins 4 and 5 with max. current 350mA.

Try to check correct connection of your encoder to terminals/Sub-D connector.

If you use also basic positioner, there are permissible encoder combinations, described in Basic positioner function manual in chapter 4.
