Enter Shared Symbol in STL

HMP Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Hi, I'm writing a long program with several long instance DB i know there is possiblity to access the data of DB in logic by pressing Ctrl + J but can somebody tell me howto have that function automatically without pressingCtrl + J it is done in LAD/FBD but not in STL. Please help me out i readall the manual & tried allthe block object properties (i.e. symbol has priority,Absolute address selection,etc.) may be somebody knows the correct stepsofimplementing it. But you can search on the local symbol (just be on the line) with crlt+shift+f (forward) and crlt+shift+b (back) However if you have attach a symbolic name to the instants DB you should be able to find it withctrl+J. but you have to generate the DB again. Is the reason you want to use the crt+J command in your FB?

But what my piont was that when weenter a address -a symbol tablepop-up windowcomes to help you select the symbol or adress of DB or I/Oto use in logic This thing happens in LAD/FBD language selected block editor but not with STLwhere i have to press Ctrl+ J to have thasymol table Pop-Up window. In the “option”/ “Customize” menu at the editor, you can only select the symbolic feature for LAD/FDB So I don’t think I can help you, unless you can get use to the crlt+j function. I think it is much faster to accesses the variables in from declaration in FB. I know there is many way to program a PLC, but if you ask for my opinion, I would say you should access other FB’s the signal should be pass through the input/output interface on the FB. Then you have the opportunity to use the FB more the once in the same program.
