Akorostel Posts: 20 Rating: (2)	Hello. I found some error entries in WinCC log files, but I don't know what they mean. Can anybody help me? System consists of redundant server pair and a client. Error entries are in the server log file. I'm far away from the system now, so it's difficult to check what actually happens there. I haven't received any complains from users, so I think that everything works fine there, but repeating error in log file is no good. The error is: ArchiveManager,Failed to switch archive(Type:1):(null) ! It is repeating every day at 23:55. I attached fragment of file. Thanks in advance. Log-files contain more other errors (there are some problems with OPC connectivity), but I think these errors are not related to archiving system. Thanks in advance. Most of errors (dated by November 2006 and earlier) occured during commissioning, I've been there at that time and I've been working with project - changing, debugging, etc. So these errors are not a problem. From those links I didn't understand whether this entry about archive switching indicate an error or not, if WinCC 6.0 is used. To the previous post: WinCC redundancy works well. This entry 255,31.01.2007,10:05:05:979,1007000,4,,WCCSRV1,SCRIPT,ActionOverflow:more than 5000 Actions to work is very surprising to me, because there is only one cyclic action in the project, and I doubt that it could hang or degrade the perfomance... Does anybody know whether "Dynamic dialogs" are considered actions in this message? I mean, does it include dynamic dialogs in this 5000? Thanks again.

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Actions are scripts. Either VBS or C. When a script takes too long to be processed, it stays in a queue. All scripts which are hanging will form this queue. If it gets too long the script engine will indicate the error. So... if by "Dynamic Displays" you mean Dinamic Dialog, then no, Dynamic Dialogs are not actions. However if your displays (e.g. Status display object)are being made dynamic through scripts, then they are actions.
