Hi! Please look at this manual, pages 358-360. I suggest you to connect all M- terminals together, then connect it to the main ground line. CPU/IM ground should be same. Also check pages 248 to 266 of same manual for general wiring and connecting guides. |

Thank you for your attention, in the manual in section 6.6 is indicated only a generic ground connection, and in section 4.2 most of the examples is related to cards with MANA terminal. At page 267 (section 4.7) there is an indication which seems to suggest to connect M- terminal with terminal M of CPU. Since the terminal M is connected at the grounding terminal of the power supply (24 V), see annex file, I doubt arose if is better to connect M- to this point instead of at the main ground line: in this way the terminals are in any case connected to ground and also are as close as possible to the potential of the CPU M terminal.
