blyshchak Regular Member Joined: 12/23/2019 Last visit: 10/7/2024 Posts: 26 Rating: (1)	Hello, in V16 Unified project I try to add device "PLC_proxy_1", then I do "INITIALIZE DEVICE PROXY" using file "blaBla.ipe" and I get this error. Have you tried using a shorter filename? It looks very long to me and TIA Portal has known problems with long filenames. Kind regards Stefan

JBS98 Regular Member Joined: 7/19/2022 Last visit: 10/7/2024 Posts: 396 Rating: (63)	Hello blyshchak, This error usually appears if the IPE file has been created with a version higher than the TIA Portal that you are using to insert the device proxy: Updating a device proxy via an IPE file As indicated, it must be the same version or lower version
