I have no idea as to what could be wrong. Does anyone have any pointers for me? Attachment error.pdf (117 Downloads)

The error seems to be in the 24 F-DI module most of the time. So far it has always suddenly disappeared after 120 uploads, changes (monitoring time, 24 supply etc) and more uploads. I have trouble understanding why the error comes, and why it suddenly seems to be OK.

At this moment i'm bussy with a safety project, verry big one, 120 emergency stop buttons 40 safety doors on a 120 m long production line. I have the hardware working, that took me about 2 weeks reading , trying out some things and reading manuals. we can only give you hints to get your system to work, the project you have to do by yourself. I know it's frustrating that things don't work, just try to start with the easy stuf, just one CPU and one card, once you know how that works expand your project. Let's say it like this, i know how to program a regular PLC S7 Omron, ABB , you name it. When i got involved with the Safety PLC, i had to start from the beginning, that means read, try, fail, try again and yes, now it works. Sorry, long story with no solution, but atleast you know you are not the only one that needs to learn every day a bit more. Regard, Marcjan

I did do a Siemens course covering the fail safe PLC's and I've had a couple of projects containing them. The projects are fairly simple with 6 AI, 12 DI and 3 DO at the most. Most of my problems are as you say, I want it to work quick quick quick, but it won't work. But some of them are really strange things that nobody seem to be able to explain. This being one of them. I am consistently getting this particular error and it does disappear after numerous trials and I can not put my finger on the cause of it. Thanks again for always offering a helping hand!
