Good evening!

I have some problems, Error: Application HMIRTM.EXE encountered a serious error and must shut down with TP900. The  CPU is 315 PN/DP, the conecction network is a profinet. The compilation was ok, and also the  transfer in HMI.

Everything worked out, until the error ocurred and i was not able to do anything. I had to shut it down; when i started it again, it normally functioned, then after some time the error appeared.

Has anybody found this problem and what has he done to solve this?

If you can help me, i would be  very glad.

I have solved the problem with the "'Error: Application HMIRTM.EXE encountered a serious error and must shut down with TP900''. It was caused by variable STRING from HMI, TP900; sometimes, when i wrote it in HMI, the variable was too long, because i used pieces of information from two STRINGs, together sent from PLC, CPU315-2PNDP.

I hope this information will be usefull.

i encounter a similar error on my TP700 (running TIA V14 and WinCC Advanced).

Can you specify what you do with the strings more precisely or what exactly causes the error?

Hi all,

I would like to push this topic.

We have a couple of projects where this problem appears.

The runtime is totally broken after receiving this message.

If you restart the HMI you get this error immediately.

The Runtime is working properly for about 2 weeks before the runtime crashes.

We don't use any historical data.

TP900+1200

Version V14 SP1 Update 5, Runtime 14.0.1.0

Well, but I can see that you wrote in English. You don't have to speak it fluently. With a little bit of Baidu Translator, I guess it won't be too difficult to you.

The above mentioned error is continuously coming for every 15 minutes.

we already tried the following methods to solve this issue

• HMI factory reset.
• OS update.
• Firmware updated to the latest version.

but again the error is continuously coming for every 15 minutes and the HMI get freeze

please help us to solve this issue.
