Error deleting Licenses

Leon1981 Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	I have WinCC 6.2 SP2, HF4 installed on one PC (WinXP SP2). Also, I have PasCC V6.01. I'm having some problems because when PasCC is in runtime, I get a message saying that the license is no longer valid. I checked the Automation License Manager, and it shows that there are two Trial licenses expired. I had never installed emergency or trial licenses on this computer, so, I tried to delete them, but when I try that I get a message saying that The license can't be delete it because is in use. I did it with WinCC and PasCC closed and stoped. Do you know how can I "release" the licenses to delete them? Attachment Licencia2.JPG (569 Downloads)

If the "AX NF ZZ" directory or the files in that directory are not visible, then open the dialog "Tools > Folder options..." and select the "View" tab: Here you deactivate the option "Hide protected operating files (Recommended)" and Activate the option "Show hidden files and folders". Be careful, what exactly you'll delete there. Best regards Hristo Mihalev

Leon1981 Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	Thank you everybody for your great help! I fixed the problem in one PC, but it stills on the other one... The weird thing is that the folder called C:\AX NF ZZ doesn't appear on this PC... I have only one partition (only the C disc exists). What could be the reason?

FunStuff Posts: 103 Rating: (10)	The hidden system files may not show up if you are logged in as a user that does not have administrator rights even if the folder option is checked to show hidden files. Try logging in as a user withadministrative rights and see if the folder appears.

This is done to protect these files, which are usually system files, from accidentally being modified or deleted by the user. Unfortunately viruses, spyware, and hijackers often hide there files in this way making it hard to find them and then delete them. By following the steps below you can enable (force) to show hidden folders. 1. Go to Start –> Run, then type Regedit 2. Navigate to the registry folder HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\Folder\Hidden\SHO WALL 3. Find a key called CheckedValue. 4. Double Click CheckedValue key and modify it to 1. This is to show all the hidden files. Now you should be able to view all the hidden files.. And scan for viruses... Best regards, Hristo Mihalev

What could be the reason? Just to update the solution in case someone is having the same problem, where the folder C:\AX NF ZZ does not appear in your PC. Because i had the same problem, and i could not find solution anywhere in this forum. Make sure to follow this step as in attached snapshot. Apparently, by enabling view hidden folder alone is not enough. There is another thing you should disable. Attachment Capture.PNG (415 Downloads)
