error F 7800, Sinamics V90 drive with S7-200 SMART CPU

But initialiy , it communicated with V-assistant software. But now it shows error F 7800 It's meaning is not given in manual. But in V-assistant Help, it shows F 7800 means "No power unit present" I have done factory reset. Still it shows same fault. How to rectify. Please help. Drive is: 6SL3210-5FE10-4UA0 Motor is: 1FL6042-1AF61-0AA1 Warm regards, Damayanti

Please check. If those are not readable then replace the power unit. HTH.

Esenbol Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	If a F7800 fault is display the inverter is damaged and must be replaced. What causes a F7800 and what is the remedy? Recommended avoidance measures that should be taken 1. Good EMC installation, the earthing must be connected as in the Operating Instructions. Customers should connect the grounding terminal to a good earth point. If the grounding the chip between control unit and the power board can be damage and the fault F7800 will occur. 2. PTO pins in terminal X8. The pins 15, 16, 40, 41, 42 and 43 is for the PTO function. The voltage of these pins is 5V differential signal. 1. These pins should not be connected together, even if the PTO function is not been used. If the standard Siemens cable is used you must insure that the terminals are not no external voltage source can come into contact with the conections 2. The PTO output is a 5V voltage differential output. The customer should correctly connect these pins and it is good practice to make sure the DC24V power supply to the PLC should have the same common terminal or damage will occur. 3. Any EMC disturbance through these pins may also damage the PTO chip. Shielded cable should be used.
