Marques Posts: 126 Rating: (2)	I think the disk space isn't a problem because i have 16 GB in windonws drive and 37 GB in the work drive where i keep my wincc projectsfree of space. I am sending you tha paste ...\wincc\diagnose . At this time i have run diferent projects and they don't claim for the license but in the license manager i keep having the error you already now. Nemo Posts: 3149 Rating: (171)	Hi, well, there are some error-entries in your log-files, but this does not explain your error-message. => I guess that you´ve an installation problem, can post a test picture here, so I can have a try on my system. Those problems sometimes arise, if other SW is installed after WinCC has been installed, and DLLs are exchanged. => I´d recommend to de-/reinstall WinCC nemo

Nemo Posts: 3149 Rating: (171)	Hi, on my WinCC system I could open your picture without any problem =>your installation is corrupt. I normally try just to install WinCC flexible / Protool OR WinCC on my system. =>I am using aVMware image for Protool/WinCC flexible andanother one for WinCC :-)) nemo

Marques Posts: 126 Rating: (2)	So you are telling me that Wincc 6.0 and WinccFlexible in the same Operating System isn't a good choice, but why? And why Wincc Flexible keep working fine (as far as i now)? And could you give me a clue about the installation of VM in the same way you have? By the way my O.S. is a Windons XpPro SP2. Nemo Posts: 3149 Rating: (171)	Hi, I had first installed WinCC/PCS7 and then installed WinCC flexible afterwards I got some strange SQL-error messages....if it´s working on your system - no problem [:D] I installed www.vmware.com(workstation) on my laptop => there you can create several virtual machines which even have access to real e.g. usb-devices, harddisks,... => one virtual machine for PCS7 and another for WinCC flexible+STEP7 nemo

I have yet to see one of these go right [:o] If it were me I would reinstall WinCC & SQLServer as a quick fix. If that did not work then I would reinstall windows. Drastic I know but that pesky restore issue can cause more problems that it fixes. You don't say why you did a windows restore?

Marques Posts: 126 Rating: (2)	I salma. I have made an restore because i have installed a printserver software that didn't work and the uninstall was not complete. But if i install VMware should i install in a virtual disk Wincc 6.0 and SQL server 2003, and the other siemens software in another? Can anyone tell why Wincc6.0 an WinccFlexible are incompatible and if anyone as the two running without problems in the same Operation System without virtual machines.? I have heard mention of compatibility issues with the two but this is not a definitive answer that they do not co-exist. The VMWare option is nice because it avoids the issue completely. You create one VMWare machine for WinCC and a second VMWare machine for WinCC Flexible. I repeat, this is a nice to have but not absolutely essential in my opinion.
