Error message with CP 441-2

Zman Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Please help I have tried every thing I can think of- I have 3 CPU 414 H redundant systems communicating separately with a CP 441-2 connected to an Emerson DCS system. Two are functioning correctly and one is not. All three have the same connection and hardware configurations except for the I/O modules. The CP 442-2 is using a slave driver to communicate. I am told the DCS is configured the same for all three units. I am getting the following 2 error messages in the diagnostic buffer for the CP 441-2. Processing error of reloadable driver- data transfer CPU-CP Incoming event Error during data transmission from CPU to CP Incoming event. Is this error on my side or is the DCS configured incorrectly? Any help would be appreciated. I have checked everything from the wiring to the DCS to re-loading my entire program with one from the working units. Zman

Zman Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello I have tried swapping the cables between the 2 CP's, (redundant) and changing the physical location of the CP's. The non-active CP will not show an error message but when I pull the cable from the active one and the communication switches the error message will appear on the 2nd CP. Zman

Hello Zman I suggest you put some capture logic into your PLC and "grab" the error information from your communication Blocks to be able to work out what is going on. You should already have the manual for the Modbus Slave loadable driver (it comes withthe driver for the CP441). Have a look at its "diagnostic of the driver section". You may also need to cross reference the CP441 manual in which you find some detailed info on the so called SYSTAT area. No silver bullet here I'm afraid, but I hope this helps anyhow.
