Hi, 

I had a PLC of older hardware version & firmware version: 6ES7214-1HE30-0XB0 Firmware version 2.2 with program version TIA V11. I have now in the situation to change this one PLC to newer hardware with new firmware: 6ES214-1HE40-0XB0, Firmware version 4.2 program version TIA V13 SP1. This specific PLC is networked together with another PLC of old firmware (CPU 1212) with TIA V11 program & HMI with TIA V11 program. When the new PLC was replaced (physical connection), the HMI display started displaying "####" instead of showing actual value keyed into the PLC (1214). I have enabled the PUT/GET communication in the PLC properties but it is still the same. Can anyone advise further on what i can do to get it working. Thank you in advance. Solved.

Followed your suggestion to remove the item in topology, compiled & downloaded. The error is no more there.

If I were to guess, you drew out the connections in the topology view in your portal configuration.  That is not helpful for s7-1200 projects and often leads to problems such as you are seeing.

Best to delete all the topology connections, compile & download the hardware configuration and try again.
