Hi I'm using CSV file to import the data to my data record. 

When I try to import it via the button on my HMI I use Import data records function. 

I monitor the processing tag and it would give me a value of 12. Saying could not import. 

I use the button as an event from HMI to first import the CSV file and the In plc i will monitor the signal if succesfully imported then i trigger load the data record into the recipe. 

I created a HMI tag and linked to PLC to monitor the status. 

Why cannot I import the CSV file? 

Any pointers will be helpful. 

Dear Sir, 

I use HMI function to import the file. I don't use PLC function to import. 

I just monitor my status optional output tag to see if my import is successful or not by simple PLC logic. 

2= processing 

4= successful completion

12= system error 

I see number 12 every time I import.

 this data I got from help file by pressing F1.

I import from same file path and have only one recipe. 

I do export as follows - create data record -> Export data Record . Both of these function are done by HMI function with a button event. 

Import as follows -

Import CSV file from same previous same path as export function

then save load the data record in recipe tags. 

this is also done by HMI function with a button event.
