Hello, fine people. I've noticed something in Chapter 4 of the S7-1200 manual that perhaps should not have been included. Ifthe reader does not have this yet, the link below provides Siemens's download page for this book: https://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/llisapi.dll?func=cslib.csinfo&lang=en&siteid=cseus&aktprim=0&extranet=standard&viewreg=WW&objid=34612486&treeLang=en Pages 91 -- 94 of the PDF file discuss the POINTER, ANY, and VARIANT data types. However, every indication from the TIA Portal software help file and postings in this forum suggest that the ANY and POINTER types are not supported. My programming practice with the TIA Portal V11 Professional software also supports this suspicion. So then, why did the manual include these types? Kind regards, The Captive Engineer |
