I am trying to connect s7-1500 (TIA Portal v13) and s7-400 (step 7 v5.5). For now i don't have Real PLC either for S7-1500 and s7-400 so i am using PLCSIM to check communication those both PLC. I have tried many time, spends 2 days and until right now i can't establish communication for both PLC. GET/PUT seem not working and combination TCON/TRCV- AG_Send as well

Is there any trick to establish communication between PLCSIM S7-1500 and PLCSIM S7-400? or some help with example will be great

have a look to following manual on page 103. this should be the table for S7-1500 with S7-400(not S7-300/S7-400 like in the headline):

CPU-CPU Communication with SIMATIC Controllers

For S7-Connection you could use "USEND/URCV", BSEND/BRCV, "PUT, GET", and also Open Communication should work. 

Please note that PLCSim is not an real CPU and not every function does work on it like on a real CPU. Maybe the manual or the help of PLCSim can tell you more about that.

actually i already have that document :). First i was used get/put and active connection in s7-400 side seem not working, after that I moved active connection in s7-1500 side also give the same error. 

Second trial,i tried to open communication with TCON and use TRCV_C. Either TCON and TRCV_C has no error and status "7000" but when i open Network view --> connection, s7-connection status "disconnected"

3rd trial, i want to check communication between s7-1500 and s7-1500 and there is no problem, everything work normal

4rd trial, s7-400 and s7-400 also work fine

*Note : for all trial i am not using real PLC, only PLC from TIA PORTAL V13 and Step 7 v5.5

I'm just wondering, is there any issue with PLCSIM? means PLCSIM TIA PORTAL and step 7 v5.5 can't work together

Thats what I am supposing too. Thats why I wrote, have a look to the manual or online help of PLCSim. Search for information about usage of connection between two PLCSim or PLCSIM V13 and PLCSim classic. the manual should only be an argument for what is possible with real PLC´s

related to your 2nd case:

in TRCV_C the TCON is already used inside. in addition this is a programable connection, not an S7-connection. I don´t think that you can watch the connection-state in network-view. AFAIK only projected connections can be watched there.

I found something in the PLCSim Help. It took some time because I had to install an upd first, and then I had the normal TIA-fun like installation was not successful, searchin why, etc....

But finally I got the information I was searching for:

In PLCSim V13-Help:

• Differences between a simulated PLC and a "real" PLC

• Differences common to all supported PLCs

then

• Simulating communication

PLCSim V13 Help

You can also run one instance of S7‑PLCSIM V13 SP1 and one instance of S7‑PLCSIM V5.4.6 or higher and they can communicate with each other.

All simulation instances must run on the same PC in order to communicate with each other. Each instance must have a unique IP address.

S7‑PLCSIM supports TCP/IP and PROFINET connections. 

You can simulate PUT/GET, BSEND/BRCV, and TSEND/TRCV (T‑block) instructions for S7‑1500, S7‑1500C, S7‑1500F, ET 200SP, and ET 200SPF PLCs.

You cannot run multiple simulations if the PLCs have the same IP address. Each simulated PLC must have a unique IP address.

Ensure that your IP addresses are unique in STEP 7 before you start your simulations.

T-block instructions and data buffering

S7‑PLCSIM implements T-block instructions without data buffering on the receiving CPU.

In S7-PLCSIM, however, the simulated sending CPU's TSEND instruction does not complete until the program on the simulated receiving CPU executes the TRCV instruction.

However, when the TSEND instruction executes on S7‑PLCSIM, the TSEND instruction does not complete until the program on the receiving CPU executes the TRCV instruction.

There are some more information, but not related to this.

Finally, I make it work. There is no such issue like our mention before. You know what i did, i just copy subnet ID from s7-400 and paste in s7-1500 and magic everything work perfect
