ET 200S configuration

Dear sir,

The ET 200S unit consists of 7 SSI modules, 10 DI and 10 DO modules. Please clarify the following:

1. Is it possible to take out or replace any of the above modules online ? If so how ?

2. We had tried once but the remote I/O is showing BUS-Fault. If we take out the 1^st module in the rack BUS fault is there and status of non of the I/Os is available on the network.

If, say for example, we take out one DI or DO module, BUS fault is there but status of I/O signals for modules before the removed one is available on network and signals of modules after the removed module vanish.

Please help to solve the problem so that we may be able to replace the modules without interrupting the entire process.
