ET200 IO address

magclock Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	I have a module CP342-5 for DP with address 13..28, and the DP Slave ET200 have a 16DI module and a 16DO module with address 0..1. So, what address i should use to access the IO in step7? IB13 or IB0 or another address? Thanks Attachment PLC.JPG (203 Downloads)

Then look at What should you watch out for when configuring a CP342-5 as DP master? There has explanations how to read/write I/O area with this typr CP If you have more quesions, let me now... umencho Diamond Expert Joined: 3/21/2006 Last visit: 1/14/2025 Posts: 10239 Rating: (1182)	Hello again, If you are using a CP342-5, then you cannot access the data on the slaves using Load/Transfer commands or bit combination operations. In this case the I/O data communications are done in two steps. First the data has to be transferred from the CPU to the CP and then from the CP to the slaves (in reverse order accordingly for read operations). Data transfer from the CP to the slaves is done automatically. You have to deal with the data transfer from the CPU to the CP yourself. Here you have two special functions that do this for you. To read/write you need to use FC1 "DP_SEND" and FC2 "DP_RECV". So in your case CP342-5 has some I/Q addresses. Let's say it's the same like fig.5 from that link. (256-271). This beginning value you must convert to HEX - this is 100H. And will use in parameter "CPLADDR" to both functions (FC1 and FC2). See Fig.6. Then you must "use" I/O addresses of ET200. Look at exaple how to prepare necessaries DB. One for inputs and other for outputs. That's it. Hope this will helps. Best regards Hristo Mihalev
