ET200 S IO Problem

Hello Dear all, 

I have an et200 s module with some io modules on it. one of the io modules is a digital input module and has mal function. when i connect my signals to the module and trigger them, i can see the light green led related to the signals, on the di module; but there is no reaction in my program. 

What is the problem?

Would you mind providing a bit more information on your installation?

hat programming software are you using? What model is the ET 200S head module, what model DI, what terminal module are you using? Is the bus termination module properly installed?

Is this a working installation that went bad, r is this a new system?

Thanks for your reply. 

I am using Step7 v5.x.

ET200 S head module is, IM151 HF (6ES7 151-1BA02-0AB0)

DI model is, 4DI DC24V (6ES7 131-4BD01-0AA0)

Terminal Module for the DI is, TM E15C26-A1   

Yes, this is a new system. 

And also there is no SF/BF on the ET200 S head module. and there no BF on the CPU (315F-2 DP).

Hello tekabi;

You have not mentioned whether you have installed the bus terminating module  at the right end of the bus. Without it the ET 200S is not functional. Normally it comes with delivery of the IM 151-x.

Then, you do not seem to have a Power module after the IM 151-1 to open a potential group that powers the I/O modules. See a typical configuration in the attachment below, taken from this manual:

That configuration display was quite helpful. May I suggest next time you ask a similar question that it be part of the orignal question?

I am pretty much out of options on your problem. One last attempt: have you tried switching DI modules  (if they are the same part number) and testing them? If the problem follows the electronic module it would be plausible that the source of the problem would be the module. 

In any case it would be interesting to see the results of such a test.

 Maybe you should describe your problem a little better? Is your PLC in RUN mode? Is the HW config 100% correct, with correct MLFB's? What errors do you have active in the diagnostics buffer?
